Is this event timed?
Yes! Top individual placers will receive custom awards.
Are pets allowed at the event?
No. For the safety and comfort of all participants, we ask that you leave your pets at home.
Are strollers allowed at Light It Up 5K?
Yes. We welcome families, but ask that strollers begin at the back of the field for everyone's safety.
Is the course wheelchair accessible?
Yes. The entire course is taking place on public roads.

Is there an age limit?
No, Runners/walkers of all ages & fitness levels are welcome. Children under the age of 6 do not require registration.
When and where can I pick up my race packet?
Packet pick-up will be just before the event on August 26 from 6:00pm - 9:00pm. If you need to make other arrangements, please contact us.
What is included with my Light It Up 5K registration?
Registrants will receive a custom Light It Up 5K technical t-shirt, custom Light It Up 5K gift, race number and chip timing.
What should I bring to my packet pick-up?
Please bring a photo ID and your confirmation email.
Can someone else pick up my race packet?
Yes, they just need your confirmation email.
Can friends / family attend the after party?
Yes - absolutely! This is a community event whether participating in the race or not.
Is the after-party going to be lots of fun?
Of course!
Is there free beer / drinks at the event?
No, but food and drink vendors will be on site. Water and snacks will be provided for racers.
I can no longer attend. Can I receive a refund?
Because of the nature of this event, we cannot offer refunds - no exceptions.
Can I transfer my registration to another?
Yes, by logging into your account and editing your profile. Transfers will not be accepted during the last week of registration and will not be managed through the Light It Up 5K volunteers.
Is there a charity partner for Light It Up 5k?
Yes. This year's beneficiary is the Boys and Girls Club of Western Treasure Valley. The local beneficiary will change from year to year and is chosen by our participants in a post-race survey.
Can I be a volunteer?
Yes! Just fill out this form and we'll be in touch. The volunteer training / meeting will be held on Thursday, June 18 from 5p-6p at Jolts & Juice in downtown Ontario.
